AUTHOR GUIDELINES
General Statement
JDIIS accepts original, unpublished work falling under journal aims and scope. Manuscripts must not be under review elsewhere. If the paper is an extended version of a conference article, the extension must be substantial, and this must be declared in the cover letter or in the acknowledgment.
Manuscript Submission
Online Submission System
Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the journal’s online submission platform.
Registration and Login
Authors are required to register before submitting and can track progress using their OJS author dashboard.
Structure of the Manuscript
Title Page
The title page must include the full title, author names, corresponding author, institutional affiliations, ORCID IDs, and contact details, funding details, acknowledgment, or any other statements.
Abstract and Keywords
A structured abstract of 150–250 words and 4–6 keywords should summarize the study’s purpose, method, results, and implications.
Main Text Sections
The main body should generally include the following sections:
Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results or Findings, Discussion, Implications, Conclusion, Acknowledgement, References, Appendices.
Manuscript Preparation prerequisites
Manuscript Genre/Type
Manuscripts’ Genre/Type must be mentioned. For example, Literature Reviews, Theory Development Papers, Empirical Research, Ethnographies and Narratives, Reflective Essays, Conceptual and Position Papers, etc
File Type
Submissions should be uploaded in Microsoft Word (.docx) format only.
Manuscript Length
Papers should generally range between 5,000 and 13,000 words, including references, tables, figures, and appendices.
Tables and Figures
All tables and figures must be numbered sequentially, titled clearly, and cited within the text.
Text Formatting Details
The manuscript must be prepared with:
• 12-Point font (Title), 11-Point font (heading), 10-Point font (Body), 08-Point font (Abstract), – Times New Roman
o 1.15 Spacing, Add Space before and after paragraph.
• First Level Heading (Bold and Capitalize each word first letter).
• Second Level Heading (Italic, Bold, Capitalize each word first letter).
• Third level heading (Italic and Sentence Case).
References
All references should follow the journal’s approved referencing style (e.g., APA 7th Edition, https://endnote.com/style_download/tf-standard-apa/ ) and include complete publication details.
In-text Citations
Follow APA guidelines for in-text citations, i.e.,
This was reinforced by recent research on the topic (Johnson & Smith, 1999).
In another study by Acheson (1990).
The Series of references should be separated by a semicolon. ..… (Green, 1995; Mundi, 1987; Smith & Wallop, 1989).

Language Requirements
Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English and carefully proofread before submission. Authors must use either American or British English throughout the entire document.
Writing Style
Authors should maintain an objective, scholarly tone and avoid grammatical or stylistic inconsistencies.
The corresponding author must ensure all co-authors approve the submission and final version of the paper. Only contributors who have made substantial academic input should be listed as authors. Any change in authorship after submission must be requested in writing and approved by the editor; post-publication changes will be announced on the website. Authors are encouraged to provide ORCID iDs.
Individuals or organizations providing support without authorship contributions should be recognized here.
Authors should indicate whether supporting data are available and describe the conditions under which data may be accessed. Where applicable, information should include repository details, persistent identifiers, or web links. If data cannot be shared, authors must provide a justified explanation. This information must be stated on the title page.
Where authors choose to share research data, datasets should be deposited in recognised repositories prior to or during submission. Authors should provide the relevant persistent identifier, including a DOI, associated with the deposited data. Deposited data must comply with ethical and legal requirements. This information must be stated on the title page.
Authors may submit additional materials that support the manuscript, including datasets, visual materials, audio files, or other relevant resources. Supplemental materials must be directly related to the manuscript content and submitted in formats suitable for online publication. This information must be stated on the title page.
Authors must disclose all sources of financial or institutional support related to the manuscript. Funding information should identify the funding organisation and grant reference number where applicable. Where multiple funding sources exist, each source must be clearly stated. If no external funding was received, authors should explicitly indicate this in the manuscript. This information must be stated on the title page.
Sample format:
“This research was supported by [Funding Organisation] under Grant [Grant Number].”
Authors must declare any financial or non financial interests that may influence the research process or interpretation of findings. Where no competing interests exist, authors should provide a clear statement indicating the absence of such interests. Disclosure statements must be included in the manuscript prior to publication. This information must be stated on the title page.
Manuscripts reporting studies involving humans or animals must include ethical approval and consent statements.
Authors must disclose any use of AI-assisted writing or analysis tools, ensuring that interpretation remains human-led.
All manuscripts are screened using iThenticate and Turnitin to ensure originality and prevent plagiarism or duplicate publication.
The journal strictly prohibits fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data. Suspected data fabrication, duplicate publication, or salami publishing may result in rejection or retraction. Complaints and appeals can be emailed to the Editor-in-Chief

REVIEW AND REVISION PROCESS
Peer Review
All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by at least two qualified reviewers.
Revision and Resubmission
Authors must address reviewers’ comments point by point in two column format in the revision document before resubmission as supplementary file.
Appeals
If authors disagree with editorial decisions, they may submit a written appeal with supporting evidence for reconsideration.
COPYRIGHT, LICENSING, AND FEE
Copyright Ownership
Authors retain copyright of their work without restriction. Upon publication, authors grant the journal the right of first publication and the right to publish, distribute, archive, and preserve the article through journal platforms, indexing databases, and recognised digital preservation services.
Authors confirm that submitted manuscripts are original and do not infringe the intellectual property rights of third parties. Responsibility for obtaining permission to reuse copyrighted material remains with the authors.
Authors may reuse, share, and deposit their published work in institutional repositories, personal webpages, or academic networks, provided that the original publication in the journal is properly cited.
The journal does not place restrictions on author copyright ownership or author reuse rights beyond the requirements of the selected open access licence.
Licensing Terms
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
Open Access Statement
All published content is freely accessible to readers worldwide without subscription barriers.
Self-Archiving Policy
Authors may deposit pre-print or post-print versions in institutional or subject repositories.
Article Processing Charges (APCs)
The journal clearly states that the publication in JDIIS does not request any handling/ publication fee burdens from authors. They can publish for free. This applies to all the authors from any country in the world
Accepted manuscripts undergo language editing, formatting, and author proof review before publication.
Final Publication
After final approval, articles are published online with DOI registration through Crossref.
Archiving and Preservation
All content is digitally preserved through systems such as PKP PN, LOCKSS.
Withdrawal Policy
Authors may request withdrawal before peer review completion, subject to editorial approval.
Retraction Policy
Published articles found to violate ethical standards or academic integrity may be formally retracted following COPE guidelines.
